United Kingdom Computational Thinking Challenges (UKCT Challenges) is an umbrella organisation in which the organisers of its constituent challenges work together to provide a simple progression pathway for students and schools.
We are committed to working together to find simple ways of encouraging participation in all our competitions and to advertise natural progression from one challenge to the next with a view to further increasing uptake of Computer Science study and to add enrichment and inspiration to that study.
Our founding members are:
- Bebras UK (named contact: Chris Roffey)
- Oxford University Computing Challenge (named contact: Chris Roffey)
- Perse Coding Team Challenge (named contact: Paul Baker, The Perse School)
- British Informatics Olympiad (named contact: Richard Foster, University of Cambridge)
We are interested in integrating additional competitions into our umbrella framework and progression pathway for any such competitions with an established track record who are committed to our wider objectives of closer integration and association, free participation and the aim of increasing uptake in the study of computer science.
We are also interested in highlighting additional competitions which may be of interest to schools and students as part of a a more general compendium. Please contact us if you would like to participate in this.
